6 Ways to Cut Down Acid Reflux

Everyone deals with acid reflux from time to time. This can be as simple as taking a few moments of quiet time to yourself to calm your mind or can involve a vacation or a massage routine.

 

  1. Drink Less Alcohol – Alcohol is a very common trigger for acid reflux. It can also impact your sleep habits, which can lead to a number of other problems which can cause you to have acid reflux. Cut down on alcohol or completely eliminate it and you will likely have improved symptoms.

 

  1. Lose Weight – One of the leading causes of symptoms is obesity. Extra stomach fat presses against the stomach, causing the acid in your stomach to escape into the esophagus. If you are overweight, losing weight could be an effective and permanent solution.
